Hannah Basch-Gould is a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist based in New York City. She specializes in the treatment of adults and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions.
Hannah uses an integrative approach, combining traditional talk therapy with mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral techniques. She is also trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), a treatment tailored to those with a history of trauma. She practices from an intersectional lens, inviting all aspects of her clients’ identities into the room and making space to understand how gender, sexuality, religion, race, and and socioeconomic class may impact one’s experience in the world.
“I specialize in working with adults who are looking for more fulfilling relationships, meaning in their careers, and support in navigating anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Using an individualized treatment approach, I can help you to slow down, locate your intuition, and create a life that leaves you feeling connected and fulfilled.”
Hannah received her Bachelor’s degree from James Madison University and her Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University. She completed her postgraduate training at the Fifth Avenue Counseling Center, where she was trained in relational and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
